The J&K Centre for Peace, Research, and Sustainable Development (JKCPRS) is an independent, non-profit, and non-partisan research and think tank institute. Founded in 2022 by prominent student leader Nasir Khuehami, JKCPRS is dedicated to conducting research, analyzing key issues, and providing policy recommendations on social, economic, and governance challenges relevant to the Jammu and Kashmir region. It serves as a hub for policy research, strategic analysis, and grassroots engagement, addressing the region’s most pressing socio-economic and governance challenges. The institute brings together experts, scholars, and professionals to conduct evidence-based studies, provide strategic insights, and contribute to informed decision-making.
Legal Status and Institutional Framework
JKCPRS is officially registered as a trust under the Indian Trusts Act of 1882, with registration number: 2022/30/4/312. The institute is also registered with NITI Aayog, holding the unique ID number: JK/2024/0427380. Moreover, it is registered with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs under registration number: JK/00011684. JKCPRS is registered under Sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act with a Unique Registration Number: 80G-AAETJ4715FF20241.

We aim to promote quality research, in-depth studies, and serve as a platform for dialogue and conflict resolution.
